Anzac Day turnout awesome

Shauni James

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a great week. It was awesome to see so many people at the Anzac Day services last Sunday. There were touching speeches and performances at both services, and the parade is always special to see. Did you go along? Turn to pages eight and nine to check out several photos from the day. It’s a big world out there, and there is an abundance of careers and avenues for us to take. It can be a bit scary and overwhelming to navigate, so I think it’s great that each year Rotorua has the Careers Expo. I love that it’s not just for students, and there is always so much to see and learn about. Will you be going along to check out what’s on offer? May is just around the corner, which means Music Month is here. Check out what’s on offer to celebrate on the next page. The April school holidays are now coming to a close, but from what I’ve seen in town and at parks around the city, children and their families have been keeping busy and having fun. Check out what some of the children taking part in a programme at the Arts Village had to say on page 12. How cute are alpacas? They are such gorgeous animals and it’s pretty cool people have the chance to get up close to some this weekend for National Alpaca Day. Find out more about how you can meet some new fleecy friends on page four. There is plenty to check out, so I’ll let you read on. Don’t forget to keep those thumbs ups and downs and readers’ photos rolling in.
